ABOUT
Hailing from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Rowdy Fingers & The Ready Boys deliver a blend of alternative country, blues, and Americana rooted in storytelling, humor, and the raw spirit of traditional American music. Led by songwriter and frontman Rowdy Fingers, the band’s live shows feel less like a performance and more like an evening spent with old friends—complete with offbeat stories, sharp wit, and songs that land somewhere between heartfelt and hilariously unhinged.
Rowdy’s songwriting pulls inspiration from legends like John Prine, Blaze Foley, and Merle Haggard while channeling the modern grit of artists such as Jason Dea West and Nick Shoulders. The result is a sound that feels both timeless and unpredictable: front-porch folk wisdom colliding with barroom country energy.

Before forming the Tribute Band in 2025, Rowdy performed alongside Sam and Hank Hess in the group Silver Creek Revival, where they developed their festival chops performing at major events including Blue Plum Festival, SXSW, Bean Blossom Festival, Wheatland Music Festival, Pickin’ in the Pines, Smiling Acres Music Festival, Leelanau UnCaged, and Corktown Music Festival. Those years on the road helped shape the group’s dynamic stage presence and understanding of how to connect with festival crowds.
Since forming the Tribute Band, Rowdy has assembled a powerhouse lineup featuring Sam Hess (lead guitar, vocals), Mac Carlson (bass), Sunny Paak (fiddle), and Hank Hess (drums). Together they create a rich, roots-driven sound that balances fiddle-soaked Americana with driving country rhythms and blues-infused guitar.
